Summer Vibes

Abide in me and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. I am the vine; you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in Him bears much fruit; for without ME, you can do nothing. John 15:4-5

Our summer has been a whirlwind of tastings, shows, recertifications, inspections, and grandchildren. We enjoyed tastings at Cashiers Farmers Market (see story blog page 6/26) and at Osage Farms (see story 5/25). We enjoyed seeing friends at The Mountaintop Rotary Club of Highlands Arts & Crafts show in June and will return for their second show 8/29-30. The Mountaintop Rotary Club of Highlands is a premier juried art festival. It is the club’s largest annual fundraiser and a vital source to support youth. The Rotary’s mission is to create brighter futures for the next generation.

Where in the World is Cindy’s Bits and Pieces?

If you are like me and love to see old things repurposed, you will love this 100 plus year cotton mill transformed into a large antique and home goods store in Monroe County, Georgia. Forsyth Antiques and More (FAM) is the place you will want to visit. Like many entrepreneurs, Carol Robeson reinvented herself from teaching to antiques & gifts after her retirement. Carol and her business partner, Henry Hicks, have created the most charming shopping experience in this historical space. The store offers 20,000 square feet and 185 vendor booth spaces. You would never know you are in a warehouse. It is exceptionally clean and climate controlled. It’s a great place to spend the day rambling around looking for gifts and home décor. FAM will celebrate their 5th anniversary in October 2026. Cindy’s Bits and Pieces has been happily partnering with them since August 2023. FAM carries a wide variety of our 5-ounce size products. We look forward to working with them as we both continue our journeys. Treat yourself to this shopping experience!
