New Seasonal Product! Peach Pie Shortbread Cookie
Peach Pie Shortbread cookie is a new seasonal product made from freeze dried peaches. The freeze-dried peaches come from Lori Smith, of Double L Ranch. Check out her website for a variety of fruits and vegetables handy for your pantry. I love to use them in baking. I use the beet chips with salads. These products are great to pull out when you need a small amount of one product for your recipe, reducing the waste. Find our products in Eatonton, Ga at The Meat Locker. The store is owned by Lisa and Darin Simmons and opened in February 2025. As a family from Hawkinsville, they traveled to the lake for summertime fun. Packing up the cooler each time with all their barbecue meals was a chore. Lisa and Darin saw an underserved market in the Ocononee/Sinclair area for fresh family gathering supplies. They dreamed of opening a butcher shop one day. As the kids graduated from high school, Darian and Lisa made the leap. Like so many entrepreneurs, their background was not in retail. Their only knowledge pertaining to their new business was Darin’s previous butcher experience. With a dream and determination to learn and overcome, they have created a successful business that includes fresh meat, seasonal vegetables, casseroles, salads, seafoods along with some of Georgia Grown’s Finest small businesses. Their large section of shelves contains jams, jellies, pastries, nuts, candies, sweet and savory snacks, and more. We are grateful to be on their shelves with a variety of our products.
